Dr. Sarika K. is an accomplished academic and Sanskrit scholar currently serving as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Sanskrit at Government College, Kattappana. Her extensive academic background includes a BA, MA, M.Phil., and a Ph.D. in Sanskrit, reflecting a lifelong commitment to classical Indian linguistics and literature. Dr. Sarika’s specialized research began with her M.Phil. thesis, which explored the nuanced depiction of Musical instruments in Kalidasa’s literature—a theme she further expanded upon in her published book, Vadyatharagini.

Her doctoral research involved a rigorous Critical edition and study of the Chinthathilakacommentary on Sukasandesa, contributing significant scholarly insights to the field of Sandesha Kavya (message poetry). With a professional teaching career spanning prestigious institutions such as RGM Government College, Attappady (Agali) and her current tenure at Government College, Kattappana, Dr. Sarika brings a wealth of instructional experience and deep philological expertise to the higher education landscape in Kerala.
