Dr. A. M. Unnikrishnan
Dr. A. M. Unnikrishnan was born on October 23, 1963, to P. Madhavan Nair and B. Arundhathi Amma at Lakshmi Nilayam, Pezhoorkonam, Balaramapuram. An eminent academic and critic, he secured First Rank in M.A. Malayalam from the University of Kerala, followed by M.Phil. and Ph.D. degrees with high distinction.

Professional Journey
Dr. Unnikrishnan began his teaching career in 1987 as a Lecturer at K.G. College, Pampady.
His career spans several prestigious roles:
Reader: Baselius College, Kottayam.Assistant Director: Kerala Bhasha Institute (State Institute of Languages).
Professor: School of Distance Education, University of Kerala (since 2011).
Founder Head: Department of Malayalam, Central University of Kerala, Kasaragod (2015–2016).
Dean: Faculty of Oriental Studies, University of Kerala.
Senate Member: University of Kerala.

After retiring as a Senior Professor from the University of Kerala, he currently serves as an Emeritus Professor in the Department of Kerala Studies at the same university.
